This means that they can be placed in the best schools for children with learning disabilities as possible, whether the schools are special education schools NJ or autism schools nj.

Under most circumstances, children with autism are diagnosed before they reach the age of three. The most apparent signs of a spectrum disorder in young children include antisocial behavior, which is commonly manifested by standoffishness, low social understanding, lack of nonverbal communication, and playing alone. Another sign of spectrum disorder is unusual eating habits. Although eating habits are not longer used as a diagnostic indicator of spectrum disorder, if a child spends a long time eating, or refuses to eat, other tests should be pursued.

  1. I think that it is so great that there are now so many options for families with special needs kids. Not long ago any kid who did not learn like “normal kids” ended up being tossed all together in mixed grades.

  2. Kids often got labeled as “special class” kids and were called “retards” back in the 70’s when I was in elementary school. Its so weird because some of those kids ended up in “normal” classes by junior high.
